Yes, When the install begins, you will need to bring it up with command-f5 or, FN-command-f5. It takes a long time to respond and the volume may be low and the rate slow, but, it does speak during install.

So is VO supposed to continue talking throughout the install? -----Original Message----- From: macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Keith Reedy Sent: Thursday, November 01, 2007 1:14 PM To: macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxxSubject: [macvoiceover] Re: More weird stuff--RE: Re: install gone wrongHi Genny, You should be able to get the Voice up to tell you whats going on. It is so important to get the voice up, because you may have a bad disk. It is rare, but, it does happen. Keith Reedy On Nov 1, 2007, at 1:59 PM, V. L. Owens wrote:Hi again. Each time I try to install Leopard the machine sounds like it's working and installing Lepoard, and then after 15-30 mins it goes to sleep, if I press enter, it comes back up and does the same thing. I tried turning off the computer and ejecting the disk when the machine restarts, and when I take the DVD out, my previous settings come up. VO starts speaking like I never installed anything. Same thing when I press "c" and start the computer. Any thoughts? Could there be a prompt somewhere in there that I’m missing? Thanks so much. -----Original Message----- From: macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Marshall F. I thought you said that when you start the system, it boots and then stops. if the dvd is in there, it will do that and continue or restart the install. one thing that happens for a while after you start the install by selecting the language is the dvd is checked for errors, this process is accessible to vo. ----- Original Message ----- From: "V.
