[macvoiceover] Re: More new list members, welcome!

HI all. Well, the fedex guy is coming today with my new macbook. Can't wait to start playing.

I am a fairly experienced linux and windows user but know basically nothing about os 10.x

I think this system will come with leopard installed although I might have to upgrade from tiger.

Me thinks the computer will start with a voice over tutorial option when I first boot up. I hope so cause that will give me the basics of getting around and then I can explore some once I know some of the basic commands. I will probably attempt to install windows in a virtual machine so I can get work done until I get good at this mac stuff but I am excited to learn. someone sent me a link to a daisy file of the vo manual so I will use that to try and get started.

Btw. does the mac come with a hard drive backup program. I use image for windows and linux to backup the other operating systems to dvds incase of a system failure. Would like to do something similar for a mac before I play with something and break it.

BRian.
