hmm, does it make a difference if you use group vs dom mode?

Strange, I'm not having this issue either. The link is spoken as 'home' and vO L also yields 'home.' As Josh mentions, there is in fact a heading which says Welcome.

I'm simply using the latest standard Leopard versions of webkit and Safari.

Have a great weekend!…

Good afternoon,

What version of webkit / OS X are you using? There is most certainly a link spoken as Welcome when I visit the site, and wen I use VO + L it reads Home instead.

Thanks,
Everett

I have never seen an occasion where VO doesn't read the link text. The title text, from what I've seen, is usually spoken for image text. Your example works as one would expect. Can you provide a link where this problem is occurring?

Good evening Keith,

Control - Option - Shift - U reads the URL for the link (the href attribute of the anchor tag). I would like to know what the linked text is, the text that comes between the opening and closing anchor tags.

For example, on http://iavit.org there is a link that VO reads as "Welcome", however, the visible text is "Home".

Thanks,
Everett
