[macvoiceover] Re: Merry Christmas!

Hello List:

I agree with John, Ash and Ricardo. In fact, Keith did indeed send a separate post wishing us all "happy Holidays". If you truly have a problem with the posts, why not take your issues off the list and not make such an issue out of them for everyone else to read?
Happy 2012 to you all!

Ezzie

Hello john,
I cannot agree more.
Great post. Can we all just get a long.
This list is about mac.
Have a good day.

There was a time when you could wish a general merry
Christmas or happy holidays and no one would get offended. No
one would jump on the defensive. No one would take issue in the
least because the implication for the well wishes for the season
was simply understood. This whole political correctness and over
sensitivity to implied or misinterpreted meanings is getting a
little tiresome when it starts showing up on technology lists.

I've know Keith for a long time and trust me when I tell you
he meant no offense or deliberately "left anyone out" of his
initial post. It was Christmas, and he wished the list a merry
Christmas. If you don't celebrate that, well, then there was no
slight or offense directed towards you. It was a simple greeting
and, to me personally, something classy for a list moderator to
do and something I emulated on my own list because of his
gesture.

So, please, in the spirit of the holiday season overall,
let's just drop this ridiculousness and move on to Mac and
iDevice related material?

Take Care

My intention was not to control the content on the list, and I
don't appreciate being accused of doing so. By wishing all Merry
Christmas you were excluding those of us who do not celebrate
that holiday, but observe other holidays at this time of year.
If you are going to include everybody in your well wishes, then
you needed to express that in a different way.

Marcy,

I am going to continue to wish others Merry Christmas and you
can do as you like, however neither you or david will control the

If any sentiment were to be expressed, Happy Holidays would have
been much more appropriate for those of us who celebrate other
holidays at this time.

Personally, I do think that we should stick to the "SUBJECT"!
when replying to messages, or expressing an opinion.
Here in ausi land, it is summer, not the middle of winter, so
the shortest day is not even correct.
Later, "Love this list"!.

David, you told me when you came back on the list that you were
here to help, this kind of thing is not helpful, which one is it?
