[macvoiceover] Re: Mail Problem

Hi Jane and Suzie,

If the file is attached when it leaves your computer, you have done all that you can do.

More and more internet providers are stripping attachments from e- mail messages, because attachments are most often used to carry all of those little programs that do so much damage to Windows computers. You mite want to check to see if your ISP may be stripping out your attachments.

The name of your attachment may also send up a red flag for an auto filter. Try to keep the names of your files simple and leave out words or terms that mite make an auto filter think that you are selling something. And as Suzie said, if you are sending to a Windows computer, make sure that you have checked the Windows friendly attachment box.

Ok, I have rambled, but, I hope that this will be helpful

Jane,

Do you have the "windows friendly attachments" box checked in the pane where you choose your file to attach? If you are sending to Windows users that might be the problem.

Hi everyone.

Several times I have sent emails that are supposed to have attachments. When I check with the ones who were to receive them, no attachments were found. Is there a setting I need to check or uncheck to fix this problem? It *appears* to work when I have it add an attchment to the mail, but apparently it isn't./ How can I fix this?

All thoughts appreciated.
