Well then he'd throw the darned thing away and get a Windows machine, and he'd be happy! <smile> So what's the big?…
People, it's a blasted computer we're talking about here, not a religion! lol!
yes, computers are vitally important, especially in today's world, but as far as I'm concerned, what others use is no more important than choice of vanilla vs chocolate! <smile>
Whatever works for you; go for it!…As I'd said, I'm all about helping someone figure something out that they would like, but the posts I'd seen were just saying that the Mac is good, and you'll get used to it, in effect, rather than offering suggestions. thus my post. However, I did just see Keith's post and yours which did offer some help, so good for you two! Thanks for posting that!…
Anyway, thanks, as always for your notes, David, and have a lovely day!… Smiles, Cara :) On Sep 13, 2008, at 12:13 PM, David Poehlman wrote:
I don't see anyone trying to force anyone to do anything here. Rlatingexperiences is valuable for those who are dealing with this type ofdecision. They may not. I personally like the Mac bunches, and really have no desire to go back to Windows, but that's me. Not everybody feels that way. there are in my opinion, some JFW / Windows keystrokes / functions and such that I think are a whole lot easier to deal with than VO / Mac, but as I said, even despite that, I totally prefer Mac / VO any day. Just my opinion. <smile> It just seems like rather than trying to convince someone how great you think Mac is, that it would be a whole lot more productive to actually like try to offer suggestions / alternate ways of doing things. I will say here, that I unfortunately haven't kept up with this particular thread as I've been extremely busy this week, so needed to skim email a lot, rather than read everything, so I assume that help was offered, as it usually is here, but these last few posts that I did see, just seem to be saying 'hey, the Mac is way better than Windows, now get used to it!' which just sounds kind of unproductive to me, as I'd said. anyway, these are of course, just my thoughts, and if I'm off base here, then please do forgive, if ya would?… Thankie muchly!… Ian, just as a quick note, -not sure this will help you, but I have an article up at lioncourt.com, which is called 'A Key to Leopard' which may help with certain aspects of the Mac and Leopard. Thanks for reading, All, and have a great day!… Smiles, Cara :) On Sep 13, 2008, at 10:04 AM, Randy Stegall wrote:I have broke the windows habbit altogether in January when I purchased this Mac Mini. :) You can too. Sure, I only got my MacBook a month ago, but I find myself wanting to go back to windows! I'm not sure whether to stick with the Mac, install Vista using BootCamp, or just sell the Mac and buy a Vista laptop instead. Don't all start offering me your hard earned dollars though! I'm in the UK and wouldn't want to be shipping the MacBook abroad. :-) Ian On 12 Sep 2008, at 19:25, Keith Reedy wrote:Ian, I have been using the MAC for more than 3 years now. I use a full keyboard most of the time. A laptop is a little more labor intensive, because of having to use the modafier, FN key, however, all in all, I have found the MAC much and I do mean much easier to use and very dependable. A few more keystrokes from time to time, but, a small price to pay. Keith Reedy On Sep 12, 2008, at 2:09 PM, Ian Robinson wrote:David and Keith, Thanks for your replies.
