sarah,
when i instaled my new HP printer, I used a download from the HP website, just hit search and type the code of your HP printer in, the uptodate drivers will be there. and if they're not there now, they will be soon.

there are reported issues with HP printers Sarah. Although, mine worked for me yesterday. all I can suggest is maybe going to the hp website. I know Leopard didn't have my new HP printer's driver so downloaded it from there.
:) hth
