OK, I got this situated but now how do I add applications. I only have
Growl, Growl Mail, and Growl Menu as application choices. In the older
version I had just about every app that was in my applications folder
to choose from.

In the Growl panel there is a "Display Options" tab. In that tab
there is a "display Styles" table with an item called "Speech"
selecting this will let you set the voice and other parameters for
the notification as well as setting this to be the default
notification style. YOu can also do this on an application by
application basis as well int he Applications tab.

OK, where are you seeing the speak alert item? When a alert is
shown it just says system has new item, but nothing else is spoken.

Yes I have a speak item. I just hit the cancel button when it
asked for application I could not find. the only issue I am having
is I can not get the growlnotify command line application to work,
I never could get that to work however.

I use the uninstaller but there are no applications in my apps
list like the older version and again there isn't a speak alert
option unless I'm missing it. Do you see one by chance?

I have had no issues with the new version of Growl. I did use

Listers has anyone installed the new version of Growl? What
I've found is that I have no applications in the applications
list and no way of adding them. I have also noticed that the
alerts are all the system default sounds and it no longer has
the speak using the system voice feature. Can anyone who has
installed this preference pain confirm or deny this?
