Donna,

I guess you are wanting the entry level laptop, at least that is the one we have. If the store is not going to have those, write me off list and I will tell you where to order them at a good price.

Hi David,

Ah, right! I have that command written down on my braille cheat sheet. My bad, for some reason I was confusing the lock feature with the numberpad feature. I forgot you can use the lock with non- numberpad keystroeks.
Cheers,
Donna

donna, please carefully read the vo getting started guide. among the
goodies you will find there is a way to reduce the number fingers you
need to use by locking the vo keys.

Don't let what something sounds like come between you and a new mac.
you wouldn't have an IPhone if you did that for it.

Ignasi,

That key combination that David described sounds like one you'd need
fifty fingers to orchestrate. Is it as awkward as it sounds? Asking
because I was planning to purchase the 13-inch laptop, and had been
counting on being able to lock the vo keys and use the numpad to
navigate and interact..
Best,
Donna

If you have a laptop, you probably want to work with the VO keys and
arrows instead of using the numpad commander, because laptops (at
least not 13 inch macbooks like mine...) generally don't have a numpad.

Hi everyone.

As you all probably know, using the plus key on the numeric key-pad
will allow you to interact with areas on the screen. How is this
done on a lap-top?

Many thanks:
Basil
