Thanks! You were, indeed correct! The install was complete at that point. When I opened Read Iris, I was asked for my serial number, and it's now registered, configured, and ready to test! I need to get to bed, but must try a couple scans first! <smile>

I believe the quit button is what you want. It isn't that the Mac doesn't indicate when an install is complete; the fault is with the readiris install. With most standard programs, it's very clear when the install is complete.
