Hi Harry,
Threee things:
1> a Mac Laptop can be fitted inexpensively with an apple keyboard so
that should not deter anyone from having one unless one does not want
an extra keyboard. The advantage of course is portability.
2> The apple store should provide your friend with a limitted trial
so he can take his purchase home to determine whether it fits his
needs. There is a lot of pressure here and if he's not technically
minded, he may feel less than excited even if the apple store can
competantly work with him.
3> Tell your friend that he can get the basic commands list right off
the Mac in voice over byy activating the VO menu with conntrol-option-
f7., down arrow to keyboard commands and press enter. Move up and
down through the list. I doubt I'd have been impressed enough to
take one home if I had only two hours to sit with a Mac.
Just my early morning thoughts.

Hi all,
First of all, I want to thank you all for the help you have ben to me.
Here's the latest. My client, (Wally), is gonna go down Monday
morning and look at the Mac Minni. He went down there today, and
decided he didn't want a laptop.
He likes the keyboard better on the mac minni.
Now, here's where I need some help.
The store has agreed to give Wally some time (an hour or 2 on the mac
minni on Monday morning, to really get his fingers on the computer
keyboard and try some browsing, some email, some scanning/reading,
and some printing.
I have sent the store the keyboard commands, and the link to the
tutorial for voiceover, but who knows who much they will be able to
do with it.
Now, what I need is, someone to be available on Monday morning July
10th, anywhere between 9AM to 11AM. If you can be by your phone, or,
if you could call the store, or, maybe they could do skype or
something, so if they get hung up on something like a key command or
something, they'll have someone there to help immediately.
I can't because I use windows and not the mac.
So, if anyone wants to help, contact me and let me know, ok?
Contact me off list or on, either way is fine.
I sent the emails with the keyboard commands and the other with the
tutorial page link but they didn't get them, so I sent them again
late this afternoon.
They're gonna give Wally a free session Monday morning between 9 and
11AM easterntime Monday morning.
So, if someone can give me a hand with this, let me know.
Thanks alot folks!
Harry
