[macvoiceover] Re: How about a guide?

There are some files on using Terminal that's like using the command line on Windows that's there as well. Terminal is way cooler than DOS just in case I turned you off. Also that file you just got is in a format that only I Tunes will play, so either use I Tunes for Windows or I can convert it into a .mp3 file for you.

Hi,
I was able to get the file successfully.
Thanks!

OK, then go to this page on Windows and get it from the link below. I've never used it from the web so maybe we can help each other out. The link is http://idisk.mac.com/accessibilityhelp-Public?view=web

Oh, Ok, thanks for clarifying. I can't do that now, cause I don't currently have a Mac. Should be getting one soon.

OK, here are the instructions. Most people know me and know where to get my stuff from, so I apologize for not being clear.
1. Go to the file menu in Finder
2. Go to the GO menu and arrow down to I Disk/other users public folder and press return 3. In the dialog box type accessibilityhelp (all one word) and hit return Note: If you are prompted for a password you clicked on the wrong item in the I Disk menu

How can we access it? There isn't a link to click on. Is on your FTP site if you have one?
Thanks,
Jeffrey

Look in my public folder and see if you guys like the guide I did on dragging and dropping. The name of my public folder is accessibilityhelp. You can access it under the I Disk section in Finder. If you guys like this format then maybe Keith and I can work out posting and hosting more.

don't forget to check your method and if there are other methods, write them
up too and yes, check them.

It also might be good to troll the archives for both lists to see if there
are instructions and check them too and post them.

Hi folks,

I know that some of you have special interest in a peace of software,
so, how about writing a small how-to-guide on how to work it.

Something like this.

1 Open up a new file in your word processer and write it all down.
2 after you have a way to do it, check your method,
3 Check your method.
4 paist it in to an e-mail and send it to the list.
Who knows, you mite want your guide to be a part of the growing list
of list and guides at,
www.icanworkthisthing.com
under
MAC with Voiceover.

Thanks, this will be fun for all of us.
