[macvoiceover] Re: Hi

Good afternoon Hannah. I can address this question from two points. If a person has never touched a windows machine learning a Mac is easy. I had an 11 year old student who only had access to a Mac and I taught her internet, e-mail, and writing documents with text edit. If a person has used a windows machine then it's a bit harder simply because they are comparing windows screen readers with using the Mac and they are quite different. I invite you to explorer the following resources at: http://icanworkthisthing.com/docs/mac_with_voiceover/index.shtml Here you will find a wealth of information to assist you in your quest. Have a great day and keep those questions coming.

Subject: [macvoiceover] Hi

Hi all. I've just joined this list as I want to find out as much as I
can about a mac. I do not own a mac yet, however due to the many Windows
problems I face on my laptop I am considering switching. My first query
is compared to Windows, how easy is it to learn, in terms of those with
learning disabilities, to use a mac and VoiceOver? Thanks, and I look
forward to hearing from you. From Hannah
