Ricardo:
Please excuse me, but I have explained in other posts to this list how it is
possible to go back to Itunes 10.3 successfully, without needing to set up
anything. Why would you post this?
Once more: In the folder /music/itunes there is a folder called "previous
Itunes Libraries" which contains libraries used by, what a shock, previous
version of Itunes. When you upgraded to 10.4, the first thing it did was
preserve the then-current Itunes library in that folder. You will find it
there, as a file that looks like "Itunes LIbrary 07-22-2011.itl"
Locating this file, and changing its name by redacting the date from it, you
can then
•1) copy, from a backup disk, Itunes version 10.3 from the applications folder
into your internal hard drive's Applications folder. You will have to hit the
"replace button," to do this.
•2) Copy the newly changed itunes library file from the "previous Itunes
libraries," folder over the existing Itunes library.itl file which lives in the
Itunes directory.
•3) There is no third thing. You are done.
Can we please archive this or something, so that misinformation about this is
not continually propagated?
Thanks much! :)
