there are two list boxes, when you select one in the first, it changes what you can select in the second. for instance, when you select digital basic, you have a whole range of synthesizer presets you can select from. Piano and guitar don't give much and horns doesn't either neither with wood wind. Loops are real sounds and they are modifiable only via the edit controls for tempo etc. you can have them recorded as digital or real instraments but I have not figured out what that means. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ginny" <ginnyo@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, April 02, 2008 4:31 PM Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: GB again Here's another question. I've been assuming that the loop browser is where I'd find all the different instrument sound options that could be played via my controller. But is this actually the case? Is the loop browser actually all premade loops and not samples of sounds that could be played? (probably so...duh...) Anyhow, I know there is a list box with piano, guitar, keyboard, etc...is there another place to select from multiple piano sounds or multiple guitar sounds, etc.? Or can we only access that basic list box? If the answer is that these, too, are inaccessible like the loop browser, then no need to answer. <smile> Thanks.?-----Original Message----- From: macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:macvoiceover-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of David Poehlman Sent: Wednesday, April 02, 2008 2:36 PM To: macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: GB again got me lickin' my lips. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rich Caloggero" <rjc@xxxxxxx> To: <macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, April 02, 2008 3:15 PM Subject: [macvoiceover] Re: GB again You might also want to check the axon products. http://www.midi-classics.com/g/gT4661.htm I want to get my hands on one of these. I've used the Roland stuff and while it is good, it still tracks a bit slowly, which among other things, means the low strings will play with a sort of "cold" feel because of the delay. The axon stuff claims to solve this problem, and the price seems to be in line with the Roland gr20 or gr30. They seem to have a usb model (which isn't quite out yet) with no sounds, and the ax 100 mk2 (its actually MKII) has sounds and costs more. If anyone buys one of these, please let us know what you think of it. If I manage to get my hands on one, I'll send a review out this way.
