Subject: Testing Opera mac with screen readers

Hi folks,

If anyone has tried this you will realise that we don't really support the VoiceOver screen reader for Mac. We want to change that.

Opera has a beta-testing program where you sign a Non-disclosure agreement, and you can get advanced builds and some access to the bug tracking system. Right now we are looking for Apple VoiceOver users who are interested in having a bit of a play as a way of helping us to get the system right.

You will need to enter into a formal non-disclosure agreement - we have an accessible system for doing this. We don't have much of a sense of humour about people breaking the agreement because our customers value our ability to maintain confidentiality, so if you are looking to review it for a blog or newspaper be aware that there will be limits on what you can say (for now, nothing...). You must be 18 years old and "legally competent", and we want to know a bit more about you - a quick explanation of your background in accessibility and testing, where you live, and who you are working for/with (either paid or as a volunteer).

You also need to be able to handle english well enough for email, and to have a bit of patience - as anyone who has ever tried testing early versions of products will know.

If you're interested, please let me know and I will explain how to start the process...

Cheers

Chaals
