[macvoiceover] Re: Fwd: Avoiding Safari freezes related to displaying PDF files [was Re: A Note About Onyx]

Could safari's idea of what to use to handle pdf files be modified say with a mailcap entry that told it to use wget -b file.pdf whenever a pdf file were found? I'm thinking to perhaps cause safari to leave these files alone entirely and have another tool like wget download them in the background. That's what that -b switch does and wget downloads until you have an exact copy by default.

The safari freeze still occurs on large pdf files. Small (1-2 page pf files) will most of the time behave. Really, the best way to fix this is just to right click (ctrl-click) on the file name, and dowload the pdf file, then open it with preview.
