William,
Use the attachment column to check if a message has attachments.
also, you can reach the attachment by opening up the message and
looking at the bottom of the message.
With regards to having the attachment column as your first displayed
column, You will have to go into view menu and uncheck all of the
columns and then go back into view menu and check the columns in the
order you want. Regarding sorting by incoming date, you answered this
query yourself a while ago smile. Interact with the message list,
navigate to the particular column you want to sort by and then do VO
+Shift+\.

Hello all,
about downloading attachments: is there a way to see that a mail has
a attachment without specially looking after it?
I know, there is a column in the message-structure that shows the
attachments but I don't know how to reach the included attachments
starting from this columnheader.
Also, is there a way to set the attachment in the first column and
at the same time sorting the mails on the incomming date.
Aht the moment , the order is als follows:
status,, from sender, subject, date, attachment.
best regards,
William

Perhaps you use Skype and I can help explain it to you.
