Did you leave the xp disc in long enough to finish the instal? Did you then enter your password if you have one and did you then hear the windows startup sound? Did you check to make sure sound was connected and running by exploring in the window with voiceover? If you had to enter a password, did you do cmd-g to make sure input went into the windows machine? Those are the things I can think of right off the top of my head?
