[macvoiceover] Re: From the Tiger computer.

bootcamp is upgraded, you install bootcamp, install windows, make a drivers disk first, install the drivers after installing windows, upgrade your system, install the new windows drivers for bootcamp by fireing up windows and putting in the dvd which becomes a windows driver install disk and follow the prompts.

What about Bootcamp? It seems based on the current list postings that we are seeing more and more problems with Leopard either from not knowing the new way or because it doesn't work. I am trying to find a way to do this and still have something to fall back on besides Windows.

I don't think this works. you will probably loose something in the process. you would have to put in the disk, click install osx, type in your password, click restart after enter, the mac restarts, turn on vo, go through the language selection, verify the disk, this takes a while or you could skip it not recommended on first use incase there is a problem with the disk, choose your partition and proceed the mac will restart after a bit and you should hear it talk with the vo quickstart although I am not sure if this happens or not with upgrades. If you don't hear any speech, do command-f5 or fn- commandf5 if you are running a laptop and this is also the case after the first restart. setup assistant will guide you through the rest of the setup.

OK great, so if I want the best of both worlds does anyone see a problem with doing my install of Leopard on Fusion? I gguess I will not have to worry about sound problems like JAWS has or even finding ports and such?

That is nice of you to do this. I heard that you can use Boot Camp to run Leopard, I wonder can you use Fusion to run Leopard as well?

Well, I have heard from some folks that they would not be upgrading for a while for a host of reasons. Some have older computers and the list goes on.

Hey Keith, do you think that allot of people will not upgrade to Leopard? It seems like most people either have or is waitting for their copy of Leopard? I haven't seen many Tiger questions on the list, but I don't know if that is from the multitudes of Leopard postings.

Hi folks,

Just testing a new e-mail address from the Tiger computer. I wanted to have a computer in Tiger to help those who will not switch to Leopard for a while.
