DocInfo is an AppleScript application that will display a dialog
telling you how many charaters, words and paragraphs there are in the
front document of TextEdit. You can put this into your TextEdit
AppleScript directory or just run it as it is.
DocInfo is free and can be downloaded from:
http://w3.wmcnet.org/vo/utilities/docinfo/
Hope this solves the word count issue for people.
