[macvoiceover] Different voices when interacting?

Is there a way to have Voiceover's voice change change when you're interacting 
with something? I'm thinking specifically of the messages table in Mail, as I 
can't figure out why sometimes I'm interacting with it and sometimes not. 

Thoughts?
