I am so glad you are enjoying Audio Hijack Pro. This is indeed the easiest and, in my humble opinion, the neatest audio program I've ever used!!! It is so versatile, and it allows me to do so much. With my hearing impairment as bad as it is, I have to use headphones for everything, pretty much. I hijack a microphone, preferably USB, toss it to my wife, hijack the Zoom H2 recorder as a USB mic, put it on top of the TV, and there you have it. I can listen to my wife's description of the movie, and I can get the movie in full stereo sound. I can also monitor what I myself am doing with the Mac's built- in mic. I'll have to do a podcast and demonstrate how this works for you all. It is so cool!!! Everyone have a fine day, and thanks for reading this one.

Audio Hijack that I wanted to use the built-in digital input and the
built-in digital output and then checked the Hijack button and bingo! I had cable TV going through my 5.1 speakers using my Mac pro. After I had made 
sure this worked, I then configured the recording properties.
So now I can either listen to cable TV using Audio Hijack Pro and if I want to record the program I'm listening to, it's just a matter of checking the record button. How simple is that. I think other Mac apps could learn a 
thing or too from the creators of Audio Hijack Pro.
Oh BTW, I should get some brownie points from the list owner and the rest of 
you who don't like the 7 letter word starting with w and ending in  s.  I
don't think I mentioned that word once in my message smile.

Hi all.

I really do believe that the Macvoiceover list needs to be primarily
that--a Macvoiceover list. While I do still also use both linux and
windows, and am therefore sympathetic to those wanting to share
such information related to the Mac and even am interested in some of the 
comments, this list was started with a specific focus: to help  people to
use the Mac with voiceover. there are other Mac lists that take on  much
broader topics (one that I have in the past participated in and others
that I've heard of on and off) and if somebody is interested in starting a 
list for Mac-windows and/or Mac-linux issues, that certainly would  be a
reasonable
possibility. However, I really think we should all perhaps reconsider and review the guidelines for this list and make an effort to refocus the list 
content back to the original purpose. I'm certainly not saying this to
criticize anybody who has posted content that really isn't Mac and
voiceover related. for one thing, I know that since leaving the more
broadly-based Discuss list, I've sometimes posted or been tempted to post items that would have been suitable on that list but not on this list. for 
another thing, I know that one reason why people post non-voiceover
content is that all of us want to make sure that others have up-to- date
information about developments related to use of the Mac though not
voiceover-related. However, I really believe that if this list is going to 
serve the purpose for which it was started, and that if voiceover  users
needing answers to questions and help with learning to use voiceover
proficiently are going to have a place where they can participate and get 
help without becoming frustrated, the focus of this list needs to be
narrowed. To be honest, there's been so much extra stuff on this list
lately, and much of it not seen as off-topic by the subject line, that
I've kind of quit reading messages on this list unless something  jumped
out at me. "ok, I give up" certainly did jump out at me!!!

If we can all agree that the original guidelines for this list  should be
followed, perhaps we can restore the original focus by moderating
ourselves so that Keith need not be concerned about moderating the  list.
but if we are going to try to keep the voiceover focus and people find it 
hard to stay within those guidelines, I certainly would be in favor of
moderation.
