Very odd as I thought I had my mail settings memorized. Maybe I need to use the entire email address as the username.

I dunno, I'll deal with it in the morning.

I don't hold out much hope for this. It sounds like your issue has more to
do with just looking on outlook pexpress andmaking sure you set things up
the same way on the Mac. There is nothing unusual about the mail account you
are configuring so it should work.

Yep that's what I'll do. The ISP should have all that sort of info. Maybe
I'll get lucky and get a techie who has a Mac. lol

Hi Sarah,

I mean't you need to talk with someone to help with getting send to work
in
mail on the Mac. I didn't know you had hearing problems. take your time.
If it will work in outlook express, it will work on the Mac. you just
need
to make sure you are settig your outgoing server up exactly the same in
mail
as in outlook express.

Hi all. Thanks for your messages. Being half-deaf doesn't help on the
phone
lol, but I will try and call my ISP to see if they have the steps to set
up
email on a Mac. I don't use google/comcast etc. I have all my email with
my
local ISP and I have been generally satisfied with the performance. I
generally don't use those webmail interfaces so I use outlook express and
have rarely had problems.
I am sure my ISP tech support can help me as they are really amazing. I
guess it's not as simple as just entering the name and pw. [You people are
amazing too, but the ISP will have the specific info.]
Thanks everybody for your emails.
Does anybody know what all that nonsense voiceover speaks before each
message means? Blank text blank text etc?
Sara
