hi Sarah, If you are receiving mail, your account is at least partly functioning. When you see a password field, it will say secure edit text if you tab to it, if you want to clear it, hit command-a and delete. just type and if you know you are typing correctly, just press enter when done. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sara" <push649@xxxxxxx> To: <macvoiceover@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, May 06, 2008 6:08 PM Subject: [macvoiceover] A tad OT Trying to send mail. Hi all. I tried to use Mail to send a message on the Mac. I couldn't get it to work. I hate those secure edit fields. I can't tell what I am typing and I can't even tell if there is any text in there or whether not I am deleting all the text to clear it so I can make sure I am entering a password correctly. Also, I don't know how to make sure the settings are right. I need to use a password and username, but not a secure connection I think that's how my ISP works. I've never had any trouble with Windows and Outlook Express.
