Hi David and all,

Has any one reported this problem to Apple, if not some should write this out and send it to Apple.

Since I don't know what the bct page is but hav seen this discussion before, I am guesing there are several possible issues. One is heavy animation. Since VoiceOvedr does not use a virtual buffer, heavy animation would make jumping fairly awkward. Some js can foul pages and the last bit is that
many sites are plainly and simply designed for ie.

Hi, Jerry. Oh yes, Group mode is very useful, but alas, the BCT page
is so huge, the page still takes a good long while to load, regardless
of which mode one uses. As I told another lister, Wikipedia is also
huge, but I do not have this problem on that site. This leads me to
believe that it is something in the way that BCT is designed. I do
not know this for a fact, but I am merely speculating for you.

Is groups mode not useful on the BCT page? Was just wondering if
that might help with the lag issue at all.

Best reguards,

Shane, it makes me wonder how they are drawing the page. I didn't
think VoiceOver used a virtual buffer, but JAWS and Windows are much
much quicker and there is all kind of virtual buffer stuff loaded
there. I'll also have to check to see if any of the page is in my
cache, or does Apple do that kind of thing. You would think it
would load a bit quicker the second time around if I were able to
have at least some of the page loaded from cache. Am I missing a
setting here?

thanks once again for all your help.

Neal

Hi,Neal. Yes, Sir, I definitely have the same issue as you on the
BCT page, and I can't help but wonder if it is because that page it
far too big? :) VoiceOver does it on several other sites, and they
are big as well. They sped the loading of pages up in the last
release of Safari, and it is much faster than it used to be, for sure.

Hi all, Do I just have a slow computer? On the BCT page, if I
press control option command H to go to headers, it takes about 5
seconds to get to each header. When I try to bring up a link list,
it takes about 30 seconds. Anyone else have this problem? I'm
guessing my Mac Mini is not the fastest kid on the planet?
Thanks. And thanks for the help on finding the preferences.
