No, I really don't think it's something we're missing--at least, not something 
obvious. There are too many of us with these problems for it to be something as 
simple as a system setting, and it's too coincidental that it all started right 
after Safari 5. 

It's a very unscientific pole, obviously, but so far, those of us having the 
trouble have java related problems that aren't being fixed by permissions 
repair. I'm not sure how much further that gets us, but it's...good to know?
