I can initiate the quick start with command-vo keys. if you are having trouble
using modifiers, I suggest you look in system preferences> keyboard and check
the use all function keys as standard function keys. Also, I have found that
on my system, only one command key works to start the vo tutorial.

trick! You would think that since this appears to be the default now, that it
would indicate that it was part of the keyboard combination listed in the VO
