Hi Daniel,
You have to interact with the area and then hit VO keys and enter to start selection mode. When you have selected all the text you want, hit VO keys and enter again before doing a command-C to copy the text.

This is not fool proof, so be aware of that. However, by and large, I usually find success with this method.

Note as Tracy indicated that if you do a command-a to select the entire webpage and then copy it, it will include all the links and graphics as well.

Jon, just as a note how can one copy say a paragraf of text with safari with voiceover? The reason I ask because today I was at college and I needed to copy and paste apple's accessibility email address. First I tryed just like what we do on windows Shift and control. To be honest I didn't know which one was the control the very far left or the 2nd inwards. You see there were 4 keys on the left. I'm guessing one of them was the FN key. Anyway this didn't work so my next idea was to interact with the link. I did this without any problems VO interacted and I tryed shift and control again but it didn't work. So my question is how can one copy and paste certain text from a webpage and copy and paste it somewhere else?
Thanks

Daniel

You could select all and then do a command-c to copy and then a command-v to paste it all into a text edit document, but I don't know if that would get you a text file. There is a service that you can activate that will open a new text edit document with the contents of a webpage. You'd need to go into system preference in the keyboard pane and look in the shortcuts tab. If you need specific instructions, let me know, as I'm on my way out at the moment.
