OK, but I don't think they're trying to insert pages, correct me if I'm wrong. I think they're trying to ascertain specifically what page number they are currently viewing within the document.

Hello there,in pages there is a pull down menu. I went into. It is under the insert menu. Arrow down till you hear the one you want. Insert page numbers in the document.
