all you needed to do was run permission repair.

John, I figured it out.

Here is what I wound up doing:

First of all, I went to Utilities then to the keychain manager.

I did a search for the word Airport. I basically deleted everything under
there that had to do with Airport.

Next, I went to

/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration

Under there is a file called com.apple.airport.preferences.plist

I deleted this file, then went to:

/Library/Preferences

I then found the file called com.apple.networkconfig.plist

I also deleted this file. Then, I rebooted.

Once rebooted, I went to the apple menu, and to system preferences. Under
here, I went to network.

Then, I re-enabled the Airport Service.

Once this was done, I reconnected to my WIFI. I put my key in, and told it to
remember in my keychain.

Once reconnected, I closed the lid of my system, forcing it to go to sleep.
About 5 minutes later, I lifted the lid, and boom! I was immediately
reconnected.

Problem solved! Yea!
