[mac4theblind] Really! bazaar problem with Cepstral voice

OK guies.

I am having the weirdest! problem over here.

I bought the Cepstral voice, Dallas, just last night.  I got it registered and 
properly unlocked, but when I try to change voices over to Dallas, I don't know 
why this is, but he reads for a matter of what...  maybe 3 to 4 seconds? And 
that's if I'm lucky, and then he just totally! goes haywire.  He either gets 
real crackly, or, in more cases, he just simply stops talking entirely.  In 
fact, it's so bad! that sometimes, he'll even crash! voiceover entirely.  Then 
being I got him set as the speech voice for V O, when I do my command F5 to try 
and turn on voiceover, he'll come up, then crash things all over again.  So, 
I'm totally perplexed at this point.  I managed to do my vo+command+left and 
right arrow, get to the voice setting, then vo+command+up and down to Alex, but 
then, Alex was extremely! crackly.  Almost so ungodly bad that he almost wasn't 
even intelligible.  Thank God, once I rebooted the macbook, all was fine, but 
man, oh man! that scared me!  Shew'w'w'w!  I almost thought there for a minute 
I was gonna have to reinstall the O S, it got so bad.  So, I'm just wonderring 
if there is any way to deal with this.  I'll admit under system prefs, I've not 
looked on the advanced tab of the Cepstral voice preferences.  I've only looked 
at the voices tab.  I wonder if maybe somehow it's getting routed to the wrong 
audio device.  I do have Soundflower on here being I do use Audio Hijack Pro.  
So I wonder if that may be screwing with things somehow.

Just so you all know my specs that we're dealing with here, we got an early 
2011 plastic white, stocked macbook, 2.6GHZ Intel Duo, 2GB ram, 250GB hard 
disc, no bootcamp partition, no Fusion, none of that stuff, just a big 1 
partition extended journaled Mac OSX 10.6.7 Snow Leopard hard drive.  I mean, 
this is a nice! macbook!  Very nice, and very very! new.  It only was bought 
this last month of April, if that says anything.  It's stocked, I made no 
customizations. None!  It's the 13 inch model with IWorks 2011. and ILife.

So, I'm out of guesses.  Do you all know what may be going on?  If so, I'm all 
ears!
