I use iTunes for all my music, and a bit of radio too. I also rip CDs to it. 
But I have to admit that she has picked a particularly problematic area of 
iTunes. In reality I don't listen to much radio on it because the options are 
so limited. You have the radio in the sources which is great, but you are 
limited to the pre-installed stations. You can download little radio files and 
have them play in iTunes, but they play apart from the radio source, which 
makes it sort of more cumbersome. I definitely tend to favor realplayer when I 
go to listen to radio, except if I listen to NPR.
