I heard you the first time but this is not the way it is suppose to work.
You should be able to do it wireless. If you cannot do it wireless than it
is not working correctly. Now this seems more apt on the older devices than
the new one like the iphone4 and the iphone4s. But someone on the list said
there iphone4s had to be plug into a power source and this is the first
iphone4s I heard with the problem. But I went back to the old way and this
work just fine for me so if it is not broke don't fix it! JMT

That seems to be what his research found. 

It looks like there might be a difference between newer and older devices.
