[mac4theblind] Re: Can't turn on home sharing on a Mac Mini

John and all, OK here is the resolution to my older Mac Mini not being
able to turn on home sharing. I did create a new user account to test
yesterday and got the same results that the create home share button was
dimmed. I called Apple and they had no clue either and suggested I take
it into the Genius bar. During lunch break today I made an appointment
for tomorrow at my local store. I was about to disconnect it this
evening when I decided I would give it one last try by downloading the
new ITunes 10.4.1 update that just came out. I installed that update and
tried it again. Wouldn't you know it the home sharing button worked this
time. So the resolution was that the ITunes 10.4.1 update came through
just in time and fixed the issue for me.

There has to be some logical explanation. Did you try a Google
search with something like, troubleshooting home sharing in iTunes on
the Mac, or something more specific? I wonder if any of the Apple
forums might address the problem.
