Hi all.
My name is Scott and I live in New York. I've been blind all my life and have
always used technology to improve my life situation. I've been a Windows user
for years, but after getting an iPhone in July, have decided to take on the
Macbook air. I've been using it for about 24 hours now.
I understand, I think, how to interact with text, tables, and navigate around
web pages. This from following the Voiceover tutorial provided on the machine
itself. So far, however, I am unable to change categories in the voiceover
preferences under Universal access. General is selected by default, but I can
not move to any other categories. I've tried selecting another category with vo
plus spacebar, command O, and shift vo down arrow to interact with different
categories to no avail. Can someone please explain what I need to do to
navigate between categories within the voiceover preferences?

Thank you for any help, for reading, and your patience,
Scott
