the "shit jobs" will be less shitty, street youth will have a way to get
fresh air, your banana will cost 5 cents more, and the corporate
slavemasters will whine and moan as they did when child labor laws were
enacted.
Oh yes, and any immigrants who take such work would have the benefits of
a unionized work environment, including health care, etc., and your few
extra food dollars would be helping to create a better country rather
than merely making Archer-Daniels-Midlands (the corporation who gave
Nixon his Watergate burglary money) wealthier.
