There is, of course, the theory propounded by a people at the far end 
of the universe mentioned in _The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy_, 
the ones who believe that our universe is a drop of snot in God's nose 
and are awaiting the cataclysm they call the Great Sneeze.
