Isn't it interesting that, after full presidential
briefings, Obama is now holding to so many Bush positions?
In the al-Qaeda war anyway, the change Obama brought seems
to be his change of opinion.
Cartoonist Tom Tomorrow puts it well, here:

If you want a highly-documented, fact-based article on
before-and-after opinions, this editorial will give you more
than you may want to read:
http://www.salon.com/opinion/greenwald/2009/05/19/obama/
Obama's embrace of Bush terrorism policies is celebrated as
"Centrism"
[Excerpt: The new administration has copied most of the Bush
program, has expanded some of it, and has narrowed only a bit.]
Obama has already done many new good things on the domestic
front, like his push to make more stringent controls for
mercury emissions. However on the al-Qaeda front, given that
he now knows more than you or I know, he sides with Bush.
I suspect his hair will turn gray within three years.
Glad not to be the President's Analyst,
Eric
