There's a defrost timer under the frig that puts it into defrost every 4 to 6 hours. I'm assuming your freezer's not going into defrost and you have to manually unplug it and let it melt. When that happens, it's usually those timers that go out. The timers turn off the compressor and turn on the heating elements in the coil. If you have a volt-ohm-amp meter you can get down on the floor and check it out. Otherwise the heating element is bad, or the wire going to the element is burned. Best to just call a serviceman, it can be a bitch getting those damn things back together. Stupid design engineers. They know they'll never have to work on one.
