Incredibly, Clinton has increased the level of permissible force against defenseless targets. In addition, Clinton spent about a $100 million of money out of our Treasury to bomb Sudan and Afghanistan that evening. He also did so before raising the matter with the U.N. Security Council, a frequent occurrence these days.

This was precisely one of the reasons I argued against the invasion of Iraq: "Intelligence" is often quite stupid, and to rely upon intelligence reports of "threats" not only may prove unfounded, but may provoke actions that decrease U.S. security. If Bush himself didn't think about this, surely SOME of his close circle should have.
