I still have a copy of a letter my Dad received from his bank in 1981 -- I pull it out when I need to giggle w/ rolling eyes...(It reads....and no changes have been made to spelling or punctuation): "We would appreciate you coming by our office within the next two weeks to pick you abstract for the above loan that you have with us. This is your abstract in which you paid for at the loan closing and we are running out of room to keep these abstracts. Please give this your immediate attention." Signed by the bank's loan officer.
