Vietnam War vets certainly talked, as we know. But the British soldiers who abused Iraqi detainees were found out because one took a reel of film to be developed, a member of the store's staff was concerned by what she saw, and the store told the police (who arrested the soldier when he returned to get the photos). It's feasible that the faked photos in _The Mirror_ were the work of soldiers concerned about what was occurring (they were brought to the papers by soldiers) After the war, it's too late for many -- Judy Evans, Cardiff, UK mailto:judithevans1@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ------------------------------------------------------------------ To change your Lit-Ideas settings (subscribe/unsub, vacation on/off, digest on/off), visit www.andreas.com/faq-lit-ideas.html
