Theorists from the Democratic Party argue that the policy developed during the Truman administration won the Cold War. Republican theorists argue that Reagan's resolve won the Cold War. To say that we didn't win the Cold War but instead the USSR simply collapsed would (check me if I'm wrong oh Logic Police) imply that it wasn't a War after all. Total nonsense. The Nazi Wehrmacht invaded the USSR, surrounded Stalingrad and pounded it into rubble, yet the Soviets didn't surrender. The USSR collapsed due to its own corruption and fiscal mismanagement. yrs, andreas www.andreas.com ------------------------------------------------------------------ To change your Lit-Ideas settings (subscribe/unsub, vacation on/off, digest on/off), visit www.andreas.com/faq-lit-ideas.html ------------------------------------------------------------------ To change your Lit-Ideas settings (subscribe/unsub, vacation on/off, digest on/off), visit www.andreas.com/faq-lit-ideas.html
