[lit-ideas] Re: What you're missing

Hmm. "Experimenting with video in looping, repetitive formats".

This sounds bad. But consider it in the context of her "decade of experience
playing in rock bands" and it provides a title almost in the same league as "I
Hate Myself And Want To Die", "Unit-Shifting Radio Shit" etc. I mean, aren't we
all "Experimenting with looping, repetitive formats"? [Cf. induction, the
problem of].

Still, it's all less interesting surely than whether, and if so to what extent,
art should be met 'on its own terms'? Yessir. The main drift.

Amazingly it seems I was born on the very same day as the writer of some above
titles and worked as a bouncer at a gig they played in London at SOAS before
they went global (we didn't bond afair; I don't remember what he was doing; I
was busy doing what I was paid to do and throwing people off the stage and back
into the crowd; the only band I remembered by name were The Young Gods - from
Switzerland afair. Fascinating.)
No, this was post was not just a pretext
