ck: Yes. Psychological warfare. Begin by positioning your opponent's face to
the direct sun. When your opponent laughs at the old ruse, admit that you
always use simple, classic methods, for you're guileless. Then ready your
more subtle weapons. If your opponent doesn't laugh and actually lets
himself be blinded, you're halfway home.
Then: Sneeze regularly, using the same handkerchief each time. Hum idly to
yourself. Drum your fingers on the table. Jiggle your foot incessantly.
Cough directly at your opponent. Raise and furrow your eyebrows
periodically. Smile slyly and knowingly after your opponent makes a move,
any move. Keep checking your pal for signs of annoyance. When you detect
such a sign, continue doing the offending action. True, these are standard
tactics. I'm sure someone here can come up with more specifics.
Best,
Carol
