It seems that in chess, there are four ways to win:
(a) inevitably in Botvinnik-style by gradual accumulation of positional
advantage,
(b) in the Tartakover manner, by "making the next to last mistake,"
(c) fatalistically, as when Oscar Panno replied to Fischer's surprise 1.
P-QB4 by 1.- Resigns, or
(4) time clock forfeit (although that may be a subset of b).
Anyone think of other ways?
Best,
Eric
