Certainly I believe you. It never entered my mind that you would think otherwise.
Odd thing about those Twin Towers. You could bike downtown along the Hudson and just roll up between them. There wasn't any Security Presence to harass you. Eccentric behavior wasn't alarming. There were outdoor concerts and art exhibits there throughout the summer.
Standing in the space between the two buildings, if you spun yourself in circles until you were dizzy, and were then to lie down flat on your back looking straight up, the two towers would cross and uncross like fingers crossing and uncrossing for luck.
It was a neat trick. I remember biking there with friends on a warm summer night. Even in the dark, the towering beehives of lights hugged each other as in daytime. Crossing fingers under the moon.
