Very good article.   I think this article is going easy on Wal-Mart.  I
have a hard time believing that if Wal-Mart were to offer healthcare
benefits they'd have no profits.  Likewise the philanthropic Bill Gates is
in the vanguard of exporting tech jobs to India.  And I think another tax
cut just passed for the ultra wealthy, which includes Gates and the Walton
family.  Personally, I think the U.S. can become a powerhouse if they were
to take the lead on environmental issues, designing and manufacturing
technology that would clean up the air and water and sell it to places like
India and China in addition to using it here.  Gates, Wal-Mart could
pressure the Chinese and Indians into buying it.  Instead, it's like Gates,
et al. live on someone else's planet.
