No one on the left is opposed to democracy in Iraq, Lawrence. They're just opposed to the US's pretend-democracy in Iraq. No one on the left wants the US out "so that militant Islamic organizations can exert greater influence." It's the US's illegal meddling that has allowed militant Islamic orgainizations to come to the fore. Hussein ruthlessly opposed militant Islamism. And that last accusation isn't even worth responding to. I think you're letting your emotions completely bury your logical instincts. Ursula
